We announce an Open Call for the years 2027–2028 to Sinne, Iso Roobertinkatu 16, Helsinki.
The Open Call is for artists, curators and working groups.
The artist/curator/working group receives an exhibition fee. The Pro Artibus team provides curatorial and technical support, as well as communication and marketing.
All applicants are asked to fill in the online application form. The application can be submitted in Swedish, Finnish or English. Please include:
– Name and contact information of the applicant (working groups should indicate one contact person)
– Name of all contributing artists
– Documentation of previous work. Below are some options for how you may submit your material. We prefer links over PDF-attachments.
- Option 1. Provide links to documentation of previous work (e.g. websites, streaming video material or digital folders). Please check in advance that all links are complete, active and working.
- Option 2. Attach one (1) PDF document (max 128 MB).
- Option 3. Curators and working groups may, if needed, combine option 1 and option 2.
We are not looking for developed concepts or exhibition plans. The aim is to open a dialogue and work together towards an exhibition. The main focus is on previous artistic work. However, it is optional to propose an exhibition plan.
Your application is received once you get the automatic confirmation email titled “Din ansökan har mottagits | Hakemuksesi on vastaanotettu | Your application has been received.” The email contains your submitted details. Please check also your spam folder. Without this email, your application has not been received and cannot be considered. Only applications submitted via the online form during the application period will be reviewed.
Application deadline is on Thursday, October 9th, 2025, until 11:59 PM (UTC +3).
Applicants will be notified by email by the end of November.

Pro Artibus Foundation is an expert organisation for contemporary art. We manage an art collection and run two exhibition spaces: Gallery Elverket in Ekenäs and Sinne in Helsinki. Sinne’s programme comprises exhibitions produced in-house, along with open call -exhibitions and shorter events. The selection process for Sinne Open Call is carried out by the gallery’s curator, Markus Åström, in collaboration with the Pro Artibus team.
