Snäcksund Villa

The Villa is a three-year residency programme aimed at Swedish-speaking artists and curators.

The Villa was built in 1857 and houses two dwellings. The grounds include a detached building with two studios for recipients of The Villa’s grants and a workroom that can be used by participants in The Croft programme.

The artists-in-residence at Villa Snäcksund receive a working grant from The Swedish Cultural Foundation in Finland. Fastighetsstiftelsen för Svenska kulturfonden (property foundation for The Swedish Cultural Foundation in Finland) owns and maintains the residency estate.

Villa Snäcksund Open Call is ongoing 24.1–28.2.2025. Swedish-speaking professional visual artists and curators with a connection to Finland can apply for the period of 2026–2028. Read the full info in Swedish here
