The Pro Artibus residency program Snäcksund the Villa, offers its long term (3 year) scholarship holders the possibility to invite other professional artists or experts for collaborative and interdisciplinary working – a residency in residence – during their second year within the program. Invited artists and experts receive support for travel and accommodation from the Pro Artibus Foundation.
The first artist to arrive to the Croft for this unique way of working, was Susan Kooi, a multidisciplinary visual artist based in Amsterdam, NL, invited by Villa scholarship holders Corinna Helenelund and Lukas Malte Hoffmann. During the month of January the artists were working on their diverse projects, and in addition Susan and Lukas curated the exhibition Midsummer Rose, on view at Outo olo art space in Helsinki until February 14, 2021.
